What happens when you fill out a free estimate form?

When you see a free estimate form on a website you may be wondering why you should fill it out and why you should give out your information. In this blog post we’ll walk you through our process but first let’s talk about you. Filling out the form really helps us meet your needs the right way. We want to know: what is the project you’re looking for and how can we create a new space that meets your needs. Is the project in our sweet spot or if we should refer you to someone else who will be able to provide you what you’re looking for. Our goal with our free estimate form is to save you time and energy by making sure we’re a good fit first.

So you fill out the free estimate form, now what?

You hit our website and looked over all the pages. Maybe you’re looking for a shed, or a deck, or something else in the outdoor living space. You come across our free estimate form a couple of times and decide to fill it out. What happens from there? This blog will go over what you can expect from Lincoln Built once you fill out a free estimate form.

What’s included in the estimate form?

Our estimate form starts with the option for you to pick a time for a 30 minute phone consultation with you and the other decision makers about your project. We want to make this as painless as possible for you giving you full control of your own schedule. From there the form asks you specific questions like contact information (name, phone number and email address), what type of project you’re looking for and to give as much detail as possible about the project. That detail can look like why you want to accomplish the project, what’s your overall goal, budget or even specific details like square footage, or size you’re looking for. We also ask you if you have a desired date for the project to be completed. Why? Again this goes back to you. If you’re looking for a tight turnaround and our schedule is booked we might refer you to someone else who could get it done sooner. Either way knowing your desired date we’ll keep that in mind as we hop on the phone with you.

How much detail should I include in the estimate form?

Include as much detail as possible when you fill out the form so that we can call you with as much accurate information. If you consent to us texting you we might ask you for photos of the space to visualize what we need to do. All of this will prepare us to give an accurate quote and set expectations when you choose to go with us for your project.

Initial Phone Consultation Call

Once you fill out the form, we’ll receive a notification from our website letting us know that we have a new request. We’ll review the information you send to us and reach out via phone to talk more about the project. We’ll go over your desires and goals for your project, what’s motivating you to complete this project now and ask specific questions about the space you’re looking to build.

If you are looking for a shed, we can walk you through our exact pricing listed on our website and talk through some custom options that could interest you depending on your need.

If you are looking for a different outdoor living project like a deck, sunroom or pergola we will give you bracketed pricing based on the specifications that you give us. If we both feel it’s needed, we’ll book an in person consultation to finalize details and talk in person about your project needs.

In Person Consultation Phase

If we need to iron out more details to get accurate pricing we’ll set up an in person consultation. We charge a $250 fee for an in person consultation which will be rolled into the project once you book with us. During an in person consultation we’ll go over specific details of the project, what you envision your space to look like, and more. An in person consultation can help you be confident moving forward.

Design Phase

Some clients and projects need a design phase. Once we go over your space and your vision, we’ll create beautiful designs that will capture your dream space. We can go through two rounds of revisions. Meanwhile, we’ll be working on our pricing and proposal for your approval.

Review Proposal & Pay the Deposit

We’ll send you a final proposal and pricing. Once you review the proposal, sign the contract and pay the deposit. We’ll lock you into our schedule and get started with your project. We’ll get started collecting materials, permits and or anything else we’ll need to get started.

Let’s Get started

Once you’re locked into our schedule we’ll communicate start date, tentative timeline and progress payment schedule and more. We want you to feel confident in the process and communicate expectations so we’re always on the same page about your project.

Ready to get started?  Contact us today and let’s create your dream project together!
